Audits passed with flying colours!
We are pleased to announce that our Telford and Blackburn envelope production facilities have successfully passed its audits for ISO9001, ISO14001, Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™).
All audits were conducted by Control Union and involved a day visit at each manufacturing facility, where all our current processes and systems were checked against each certification standard to ensure compliance. The audit trail covered all areas of the business including, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Production, Accounts, Warehouse, Transport, Sales and Customer Services.
This achievement further demonstrates the company’s commitment towards continuous quality and environmental improvement, whilst delivering customer focused solutions.
What do these certifications mean?
ISO 9001 - The international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS), thus enabling companies to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 14001 - The international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.
FSC®/ PEFC™ - Independent organisations that promote the responsible use and management of the world’s forests and materials. The Chain of Custody certification is a mechanism for tracking certified material from the forest to the final product to ensure that the wood, wood fibre or non-wood forest produce contained in the product or product line can be traced back to certified forests.
